Between 7 and 9 November 2009, the International Workshop “Environment; Collective Challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean” was carried out. This event was co-organized by the European Union Programme of the Department of International Relations of CONICYT, the focal point in Social Sciences, Dr. Mascareño from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado, the European Commission, and the Regional Delegation for Cooperation for the Southern Cone and Brazil of the French Embassy in Chile.
The workshop, which was attended by 60 participants from 11 European and Latin American countries, aimed to gather Latin American and European experts in Social Sciences to reflect and discuss on the 7th Framework Programme's call in Social Sciences, which is especially directed to Latin America (SSH.2010.4.1-2).
