The Chile-European Union Liaison Office was created in 2005 with the purpose of promoting scientific cooperation opportunities between Chile and the EU, supporting Chilean participation in the EU’s Framework Programme, and acting as a focal point for the Marie Curie Mobility Programme.
Tendrá lugar el 20 y el 21 de marzo en la Universidad de Concepción. Servirá de preparación para la Cumbre CELAC-UE que se hará en Chile en el año 2013.
Se trata del sucesor del Séptimo Programa Marco (7PM) y contempla una inversión de 80.000 millones de euros entre 2014 y 2020. Incluye un fuerte impulso a la innovación. Los investigadores chilenos podrán postular a participar en consorcios de Horizonte 2020.
Un interesante encuentro para impulsar la cooperación científica en medio ambiente y cambio climático antártico se realizó en el Hotel Dreams de Punta Arenas entre el 13 y el 15 de noviembre.
Se trató de dos talleres simultáneos. El Taller “Chile-Unión Europea: Oportunidades del Séptimo Programa Marco para Investigación en Cambio Climático y Medio Ambiente″ fue organizado por la Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (CONICYT) y el Instituto Antártico Chileno (INACH).
La Secretaría de la Plataforma Tecnológica MACHI de Internet del Futuro convocó la I Asamblea General, que tuvo lugar el 18 de octubre en el auditorio de CORFO. Tres asociaciones TICs estuvieron presentes (ACTI, AIE y GECHS), junto a las universidades y representantes del Gobierno.
Mario Bruno y Héctor Torres, ambos Vicepresidentes de la plataforma MACHI de Internet del Futuro, viajarán a Polonia para representar a Chile en un encuentro clave para generar proyectos en el campo de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TICs). El encuentro, que reúne a los principales actores europeos de la Investigación y Desarrollo en TICs, tendrá lugar en Poznan, Polonia, del 24 al 28 de octubre. También habrá un foco para la innovación.
